5 Practical Steps to Setting Up Your Baby Nursery!

How do you find the right balance of practical, stylish & baby-friendly? Read on for our 5 simple tips to effortlessly achieve this...

1. Select a calming colour palette
Did you know that red is the first colour that a baby sees? With the main goal of a sleeping baby in mind, try to keep colours soft with calming tones. A great rule is 60-30-10 . . . 60% white, 30% natural & 10% colour. Some on-trend nature based colours that look fabulous in a nursery are sage, mulberry, ochre & olive.

2. Less is more!
When it comes to bedding a fitted sheet and swaddle or sleeping bag is all you will need until your little one learns to roll. It's also safest for your baby too.

3. Utilise stylish storage
When your little one arrives, all of a sudden you will have a lot more stuff in your home . . . nappies, wipes, creams, clothing, toys, teethers etc. By utilising storage baskets & hooks you can keep everything in its place & appear to look somewhat organised 🙈

4. Make sure everything is easily accessible
The last thing you want to be doing is moving furniture around in the middle of the night because you can't get to something or the change table isn't facing the right way. Do a practice run and make sure everything is easily accessible and practically placed. You don't want to be reaching over a chair to change your bub.

5. Don't forget the finishing touches
Add a beautiful print or textured wall hanging to your Nursery walls and a touch of greenery to make the space feel cosy, natural & welcoming 🧡
